Falcon Chemicals was founded by Chief Francis Babatunde Adefarati.  Tunde who is a Chartered Chemist, graduated from the University of Lagos shortly after which he attended Eastham College of Technology London from 1972-73 for specialist course in Surface Coating Chemistry.

He worked for many years at Berger Paints Nig. Plc.  Where he became the first Nigerian Chief Chemist and later Executive Manager (Technical).

He left Berger towards the end of 1990 as a General Plant Manager.  As one of the main protagonist of the formation of paints Manufacturing Association (PMA) of Nigeria, a position he held up till August 1990.

 Tunde, an erudite chemist was appointed to the Board of OCCA (Oil Colour and Chemist Association International) based in U.K, as Vice Chairman representing Africa between 1987-1989.

 He was the pioneer secretary of the Paints Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and one time Chairman of the Multi-disciplinary Task Force (MTF) on Raw Materials for Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Industries of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC).

 

 In 2004, he was awarded the West African distinguished Regional Achievers Productivity Gold Award by the Royal Achievers International Media Network, Organizers of Economic Community Development summit / Leadership forum.
In 2000, he was awarded the Gold Award by Today’s People International in recognition of his sterling achievement in his chosen career and immense contributions to the socio-economic development of Nigeria.
